New School Year Goals-2019

Hey y’all! It’s been a little bit since I’ve posted, but I’m back! I have some cool things on the way and a whole bunch of cool ideas! Over the summer, I met Unitarian Universalist youth from across the country, I got to plan a whole bunch of worships for a UU summer camp, I got to learn about spirituality, and I am working with my church to make some new intergenerational opportunities! And so much more! There’s so much that I can’t wait to share with all of you.

I have a busy schedule this semester, but I have some goals that I want to share.

  1. Do more painting and art. I’ve always loved art, but recently, I’ve been putting it on the back burner to make room for other things. No matter how much school work I have, hours or minutes worth, I don’t seem to be taking time to work on my creativity. I want to focus harder on my creativity this semester

2. Making a change. This has always seemed like some far away concept, that I’ll make change in the future. Opportunities have arisen for me to create change within my community, and I am committing to change.

3. Read more. I have a reading list of recommended books a mile long, and it just keeps getting longer. Reading has always been a way that I relax, but all I’ve been reading recently is required for school, and isn’t very fulfilling.

And most pertinent,

4. I want to make a greater commitment to this blog. I have so many ideas for it, yet I hardly share. I want to make all of our time as YRUUers and YAs worth it. I want to share as much as I can about my experiences, so that y’all can have good experiences. I started this blog to create more content for young Unitarian Universalists, but I haven’t lived up to that. I owe y’all, and myself, more effort and commitment to this.

I never make good New Year’s resolutions, but I’ve realized that I can make resolutions any time of year. I encourage you to do the same!

Best of wishes,

Artie Evans
