Hello! We are in a new month-one of my favorite months! With March comes spring, flowers, more time outside, a break from school, and the halfway mark of this semester. As someone who thrives in warm weather, I cannot wait to break out my sundresses and t-shirts that I struggle to wear in the cold. Spring is my sanctuary. Sitting in my backyard-reading and sipping iced tea-is one of my favorite pastimes. I get to retreat from the world of homework and stress into the life of whoever I am reading about. I’ve had many sanctuaries over the years-my church, my middle school library, the choir room at my school-but spring is the only one that is reliably there every year, no matter how old I am or what activities I am doing. When I see the pink flowers blooming in my lawn, I am reminded of the passing of time and how fast life is going.
